1. Introduction

Welcome to Whiskers Cakery! By using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

2. Definitions

  • We,” “us,” or “Whiskers Cakery” refers to the cake bakery business.
  • Customer” refers to anyone who purchases our products.
  • Goods” refers to cakes, pastries, desserts, and related items.

3. Ordering Process

  • Customers can place orders directly via our website, or via other communication channels including but not limited to Email, Facebook chat, or Instagram.
  • We require advance notice for all orders – 72 hours.
  • Orders are subject to availability.

4. Pricing and Payment

  • Prices are listed on our website.
  • Full payment must be made within 72 hours after all order details have been confirmed and the invoice has been issued.
  • We accept online payments only.
  • Order will not be considered placed until full payment has been received.

5. Delivery and Pickup

Delivery

  • Delivery is available within Christchurch, Rolleston, Lincoln, West Melton, Prebbleton, and Burnham area.
  • All orders outside this area must not be placed unless they are agreed with us in advance.
  • Free delivery is available for orders in Rolleston area only 
  • Delivery fees for orders  to the rest of our service area are calculated individually based on distance and will be included to the quote.
  • Deliveries are between 10am and 4pm on the selected date. If you need your cake at a specific time, we suggest ordering it for the day before.
  • We are not responsible for any damage after delivery or pickup.

Pick up

Pick up is available from Wednesday  to Friday, 9:00am – 2pm and Saturday, 9:00am – 11am from our studio in Rolleston, Selwyn.

6. Quality and Allergens

  • We strive for high-quality products.
  • Allergen information is provided on our website for cakes from the menu.
  • We can provide any extra information on the allergens upon request.
  • Customers with allergies should inform us before placing an order.

7. Cancellations and Refunds

All orders are subject to the following cancellation and refund terms:

  • Customers may request to cancel an order by contacting us directly. To be eligible for a refund, cancellation must be submitted no less than 72 hours prior to the scheduled pick-up or delivery date.
  • Orders cancelled at least 72 hours in advance will be refunded,  25% of  administrative fee will be deducted from refundable amount. 
  • Orders cancelled less than 72 hours before pick-up are not refundable, as preparation will already be underway.

Cake Satisfaction Guarantee

We provide a full refund for the purchased goods if the customer is not satisfied with the quality of the goods and requests a refund.

  • To qualify for the Cake satisfaction guarantee, the claim must be made within 24  hours after the goods are delivered or picked up.
  • Refunds may incur a processing fee.
  • Any other refunds are subject to our discretion.

8. Liability and Disclaimers

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Our liability is limited to the cost of the goods purchased.

9. Intellectual Property

  • All content on our website and social media is our intellectual property.
  • Customers may not reproduce, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

10. Privacy

  • We collect and store customer information for order processing.
  • When collecting personal information Whiskers Cakery complies with the Privacy Act 2020.
  • Our privacy terms are contained in our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

  • These terms and conditions are governed by New Zealand law.

12. Changes to terms of service

  • You can review the most current version of the Terms of Service at any time at this page.
  • We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to update, change or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates and changes to our website.
